We bought this at R├╝ckkopplung in Hamburg. Usually we find the best drive and fuzz pedals when we are currently happy with our pedalboards - and definitely not looking. That was certainly the case here.

We tried this because it looked kinda nice, and because it was quite reasonably priced. Tried it - and it did something that instantly reminded us of the sounds on Mudhoney's Superfuzz Bigmuff record. A glorious sound. Trying around a bit more, it proved it could also do some Spagetthi Western things.

The Land of the Rising Fuzz is based on the classic Shin-ei Companion with some tweaks to make it more usable. It really is quite the versatily fuzz, and punches way above its weight.
